First, if you have the iPad linked to an Apple Watch you should make sure to unpair it . The next thing you need to do is back up your iPad to your computer via iTunes or if you prefer on iCloud.

Once this is done, go to Settings - iCloud and at the bottom click on "Logout" . Then click on "Remove from iPad", at which point you will be asked to enter the password of the iCloud account so that the process can be carried out.
